About Teafinity
Teafinity started with a ruined cup of Da Hong Pao.
The tea was a gift, it was expensive, and it was brewed the way we brewed everything else: boiling water, five minutes, a mug. What came out was bitter enough to pour away. Somewhere in that cup was the realisation that we had been treating every tea as one plant with one set of instructions — and that the real instructions were not hard to find, just scattered across a hundred vendor blogs that all disagreed with each other.
So we collected them. 176 teas, each with a water temperature in °C and °F, grams per 250 ml, a Western steep time, caffeine in milligrams, a re-steep count and a full Gong Fu infusion ladder. Then 80 more for the seasons. Then we added a camera that names a tea from a photo, because the second problem is not knowing how to brew a tea — it is not knowing what it is.
Everything we assembled for the app is published on this website too: every tea page, every chart, every brewing tool, free, in every language we support, whether or not you ever install anything. An app that hides its numbers is asking you to take brewing on faith, and brewing is not a matter of faith.

Numbers beat adjectives
A tea that wants 70 °C and 60 seconds should tell you 70 °C and 60 seconds — not “brew gently”. Every parameter for every tea is published, on this site, for free.

Thirty complete teas and the brewing timer stay free forever, with no countdown on them. We tell you exactly where the paywall is instead of letting you walk into it.

Made with care, not at scale
One small studio, every language fully localized, tea data checked by hand. Slower than a content farm — and the only way an app like this is worth having.
Who makes it
Teafinity is built and maintained by POCKET IMPLEMENTATION S.R.L., a small studio in Romania. There is no growth team and no investor deadline. When someone asks for a tea we do not have, it is usually in the app within days — one of the few real advantages of being small. If you write to us, a person reads it.
